Chef Kevin HanQing Yuan Brings Extensive Experience to Encore Boston Harbor

EVERETT, MA (September 26, 2023) – Encore Boston Harbor has appointed Chef Kevin HanQing Yuan as executive chef of Red 8. With more than 25 years of experience elevating Chinese cuisine around the world, Chef Yuan is responsible for overseeing culinary operations at the property's signature Cantonese restaurant.
 
Hailing from China and Macau, Chef Yuan most recently served as executive chef at Ilani Casino in Ridgefield, Wash. and executive chef at Imperial Garden in Kent, Wash. He also spent time in kitchens of renowned hotels and restaurants including Hakkasan in San Francisco, the Hotel Shanghai and the Crown in Macau.

In his new role, Yuan will lead the culinary program and talent development for Red 8. He will draw on his years of experience producing menus that showcase hard-to-find delicacies and feature a fusion of both classic and modern Chinese dishes to elevate the Red 8 experience. 
 
Red 8 offers a diverse menu of regional Chinese specialties, from Cantonese classics to flavors of Shanghai and Sichuan. The restaurant's Peking Duck is a standout, served with exquisite presentation directly from the oven. Coupled with the restaurant's dim sum, wok-tossed noodles and seafood dishes, each meal is a feast for the eyes and the palate.
