Wynn Everett Sponsors Wang Theatre and Boston Pops Programs

LAS VEGAS (December 2, 2015)—Wynn Resorts is extending its deeply rooted support of the performing arts to Massachusetts by announcing key sponsorships that benefit two of the
Commonwealth’s cultural leaders—the Wang Theatre and the Boston Pops.

Wynn Everett will be lead sponsor of the Wang Theatre’s 90th Anniversary Gala on Saturday, December 12th. As part of its support of the gala, Wynn Everett will host a community night for a performance of Riverdance in the spring of 2016. Two Everett children will also be chosen to participate in the Citi Performing Art Center’s City Spotlights Leadership Program that provides paid summer jobs to students who are interested in the performing arts. This will be the first time any child from outside of Boston has been accepted to this coveted program.

Wynn Everett has also signed on for the third straight year as a sponsor of the Boston Pops annual Company Christmas at the Pops on Wednesday, December 9th. The Chairman Level commitment helps 200 local children enjoy a festive dinner, with a visit and gifts from Santa Claus, before joining the Company Christmas at the Pops concert at Symphony Hall on December 9th. In addition, Wynn’s contribution will be directed to on-going education and community engagement programs that serve 25,000 youth from the Greater Boston area
throughout the year.

“There has been some uncertainty and change in local performing arts philanthropy over the year, so we view our support of the Wang Theatre and the Boston Pops as even more important and timely,” said Robert DeSalvio, president of Wynn Everett. “Helping to enhance the arts in the communities where we work, live and entertain our guests is part of the Wynn culture. It’s a corporate commitment that we expect to continue, particularly when our five-star Wynn Everett resort is open and operational.”
